2 There is none369 holy6918 as the LORD:3068 for there is none369 beside1115 you: neither369 is there any rock6697 like our God.430

3 Talk1696 no408 more7235 so exceeding proudly;1364 let not arrogance6277 come3318 out of your mouth:6310 for the LORD3068 is a God410 of knowledge,1844 and by him actions5949 are weighed.8505

4 The bows7198 of the mighty1368 men are broken,2844 and they that stumbled3782 are girded247 with strength.2428

5 They that were full7646 have hired7936 out themselves for bread;3899 and they that were hungry7456 ceased:2308 so5704 that the barren6135 has born3205 seven;7651 and she that has many7227 children1121 is waxed feeble.535

6 The LORD3068 kills,4191 and makes alive:2421 he brings3381 down3381 to the grave,7585 and brings5927 up.

7 The LORD3068 makes poor,3423 and makes rich:6238 he brings8213 low,8213 and lifts7311 up.

8 He raises6965 up the poor1800 out of the dust,6083 and lifts7311 up the beggar34 from the dunghill,830 to set3427 them among5973 princes,5081 and to make them inherit5157 the throne3678 of glory:3519 for the pillars4690 of the earth776 are the LORD's,3068 and he has set7896 the world8398 on them.

9 He will keep8104 the feet7272 of his saints,2623 and the wicked7563 shall be silent1826 in darkness;2822 for by strength3581 shall no3808 man376 prevail.1396

10 The adversaries7378 of the LORD3068 shall be broken2865 to pieces; out of heaven8064 shall he thunder7481 on them: the LORD3068 shall judge1777 the ends657 of the earth;776 and he shall give5414 strength5797 to his king,4428 and exalt7311 the horn7161 of his anointed.4899

11 And Elkanah511 went3212 to Ramah7414 to his house.1004 And the child5288 did1961 minister8334 to the LORD3068 before854 6440 Eli5941 the priest.3548

12 Now the sons1121 of Eli5941 were sons1121 of Belial;1100 they knew3045 not the LORD.3068

13 And the priest's3548 custom4941 with the people5971 was, that, when any3605 man376 offered2076 sacrifice,2077 the priest's3548 servant5288 came,935 while the flesh1320 was in seething,1310 with a meat hook4207 of three7969 teeth8127 in his hand;3027

14 And he struck5221 it into the pan,3595 or176 kettle,1731 or176 caldron,7037 or176 pot;6517 all3605 that the meat hook4207 brought5927 up the priest3548 took3947 for himself. So3602 they did6213 in Shiloh 7887to all3605 the Israelites3478 that came935 thither.8033

15 Also1571 before2962 they burnt6999 the fat,2459 the priest's3548 servant5288 came,935 and said559 to the man376 that sacrificed,2076 Give5414 flesh1320 to roast6740 for the priest;3548 for he will not have3947 sodden1310 flesh1320 of you, but raw.2416

16 And if any man376 said559 to him, Let them not fail to burn6999 the fat2459 presently,3117 and then take3947 as much as your soul5315 desires;8378 then he would answer559 him, No; but you shall give5414 it me now:3588 6258 and if518 not, I will take3947 it by force.2394

17 Why the sin2403 of the young5288 men was very3966 great1419 before854 6440 the LORD:3068 for men582 abhorred5006 the offering4503 of the LORD.3068

18 But Samuel8050 ministered8334 before854 6440 the LORD,3068 being a child,5288 girded2296 with a linen906 ephod.646

19 Moreover his mother517 made6213 him a little6996 coat,4598 and brought5927 it to him from year3117 to year,3117 when she came5927 up with her husband376 to offer2076 the yearly3117 sacrifice.2077

20 And Eli5941 blessed1288 Elkanah511 and his wife,802 and said,559 The LORD3068 give7760 you seed2233 of this2063 woman802 for the loan7596 which834 is lent7592 to the LORD.3068 And they went1980 to their own home.4725

21 And the LORD3068 visited6485 Hannah,2584 so that she conceived,2029 and bore3205 three7969 sons1121 and two8147 daughters.1323 And the child5288 Samuel8050 grew1431 before5973 the LORD.3068

22 Now Eli5941 was very3966 old,2204 and heard8085 all3605 that his sons1121 did6213 to all3605 Israel;3478 and how854 834 they lay7901 with the women802 that assembled6633 at the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

23 And he said559 to them, Why4100 do6213 you such428 things?1697 for I hear8085 of your evil7451 dealings1697 by all3605 this428 people.5971

24 No,408 my sons;1121 for it is no3808 good2896 report8052 that I hear:8085 you make the LORD's3068 people5971 to transgress.5674

25 If518 one man376 sin2398 against another,376 the judge430 shall judge6419 him: but if518 a man376 sin2398 against the LORD,3068 who4310 shall entreat6419 for him? Notwithstanding they listened8085 not to the voice6963 of their father,1 because3588 the LORD3068 would2654 slay4191 them.

26 And the child5288 Samuel8050 grew1432 on, and was in favor2896 both1571 with the LORD,3068 and also1571 with men.582

27 And there came935 a man376 of God430 to Eli,5941 and said559 to him, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 Did I plainly1540 appear1540 to the house1004 of your father,1 when they were in Egypt4714 in Pharaoh's6547 house?1004

28 And did I choose977 him out of all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel3478 to be my priest,3548 to offer5927 on my altar,4196 to burn6999 incense,7004 to wear5375 an ephod646 before6440 me? and did I give5414 to the house1004 of your father1 all3605 the offerings made by fire of the children1121 of Israel?3478

29 Why4100 kick1163 you at my sacrifice2077 and at my offering,4503 which834 I have commanded6680 in my habitation;4583 and honor3513 your sons1121 above me, to make yourselves fat1254 with the most chief7225 of all3605 the offerings4503 of Israel3478 my people?5971

30 Why3651 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 said,5002 I said559 indeed that your house,1004 and the house1004 of your father,1 should walk1980 before6440 me for ever:5769 but now6258 the LORD3068 said,5002 Be it far2486 from me; for them that honor3513 me I will honor,3513 and they that despise959 me shall be lightly7043 esteemed.7043

31 Behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 that I will cut1438 off your arm,2220 and the arm2220 of your father's1 house,1004 that there shall not be an old2205 man in your house.1004

32 And you shall see5027 an enemy6862 in my habitation,4583 in all3605 the wealth which834 God shall give3190 Israel:3478 and there shall not be an old2205 man in your house1004 for ever.3605 3117

33 And the man376 of yours, whom I shall not cut3772 off from my altar,4196 shall be to consume3615 your eyes,5869 and to grieve109 your heart:5315 and all3605 the increase4768 of your house1004 shall die4191 in the flower582 of their age.582

1 Анна сказала: «Возрадовалось сердце моё в Господе! Я силы полна в Боге моём! Я смеюсь над моими врагами. Я счастлива в своей победе!

2 Нет Бога столь святого, как Господь. Кроме Тебя, другого Бога нет! И нет твердыни, подобной Богу нашему.

3 Не продолжайте речей хвастливых! Не говорите дерзких слов, так как Господь Бог знает всё! Он ведёт и судит народы.

4 Луки могучих воинов ломаются! И слабые становятся сильными!

5 Кто раньше был сыт, работает, хлеб добывая. Кто раньше голодал, сейчас еды имеет вдоволь! Женщина, которая была бесплодна, сейчас имеет семеро детей! А многодетная изнемогает, потеряв своих детей.

6 Господь даёт людям смерть и дарует жизнь, низвергает в могилу и снова к жизни возводит.

7 Господь одних делает нищими, а другим приносит богатство; Он унижает и возвышает людей.

8 Господь из праха поднимает бедных. Он возвышает их до уровня вельможи усаживает их на места для гостей почётных. Господь сотворил весь мир, поэтому мир принадлежит Ему!

9 Господь покровительствует святым Своим и не даёт им оступиться. Беззаконные же будут уничтожены и исчезнут во тьме; их сила не поможет им.

10 Господь стирает с лица земли врагов Своих. Бог Всевышний с небес разразится громом против них. Господь будет судить во всех концах земли, даст могущество Своему царю и избранному Им царю даст силу».

11 Елкана с семьёй пошёл домой в Раму, а мальчик остался в Силоме служить Господу при священнике Илии.

12 Сыновья Илия были плохими людьми: они не любили Господа

13 и не заботились о долге священника перед народом. Вот что священники должны были делать: каждый раз, когда кто-либо приносил жертву, священник должен был положить мясо в котёл с кипящей водой. Затем помощник священника приносил специальную вилку с тремя зубцами

14 и этой вилкой доставал немного мяса из котла. Священник брал себе только то мясо, которое накололось на вилку. Так священники должны были поступать во время каждого жертвоприношения в Силоме.

15 Но сыновья Илия не делали этого. Даже прежде чем жир сжигался на алтаре, слуги священника говорили людям, приносившим жертву: «Дай священнику мяса на жаркое. Священник не примет у тебя варёного мяса, а только сырое».

16 И если люди, приносившие жертву, говорили: «Сожгите сначала жир, а потом можете брать себе всё, что хотите», то слуги священника отвечали: «Нет, дай нам мяса сейчас, а если не дашь, то мы силой возьмём его у тебя!»

17 Таким образом Офни и Финеес показывали своё пренебрежение к жертвоприношениям Господу и тем самым совершали великий грех!

18 А Самуил служил Господу. Он был молодым помощником, который носил ефод.

19 Каждый год мать Самуила шила ему маленькую верхнюю одежду и приносила её, когда приходила с мужем в Силом для приношения ежегодной жертвы.

20 Илий благословил Елкану и его жену такими словами: «Пусть Господь даст тебе ещё детей от Анны, и они займут место мальчика, о котором молилась Анна и которого ты отдал Господу». Елкана и Анна вернулись домой.

21 Господь был добр к Анне, и она родила еще трёх сыновей и двух дочерей. А мальчик Самуил рос возле Господа.

22 Илий был очень стар. Он слышал о том, как поступают его сыновья со всеми израильтянами в Силоме. Он слышал и о том, что его сыновья спят с женщинами, которые служат у входа в шатёр собрания.

23 Илий сказал сыновьям: «Я слышал от всего народа плохие речи о вас. Почему вы позволяете себе это?

24 Дети мои, не поступайте так! Плохая молва идёт о вас среди народа Господа.

25 Если человек согрешит против другого человека, Бог может помочь ему. Но, если человек согрешит против Господа, кто тогда сможет ему помочь?»

26 Мальчик Самуил продолжал расти и радовал Господа и людей.

27 Человек Божий пришёл к Илию и сказал ему: «Так говорит Господь: „Я явился Твоим предкам, когда они были рабами в семье фараона.

28 Из всех израильских родов Я выбрал твой род. Я выбрал их Себе в священники, чтобы они приносили жертвы на Моём алтаре, сжигали благовонное курение и носили ефод. Я давал твоей семье мясо от всех жертв, которые народ Израиля приносил Мне.

29 Так почему же вы не чтите эти жертвы и приношения? Ты предпочитаешь Мне своих сыновей и жиреешь от лучших частей мяса, которое народ Израиля приносит Мне”».

30 Затем человек Божий сказал: «Господь, Бог Израиля, обещал, что семья твоего отца будет вечно служить Ему. Но сейчас Господь говорит: „Этого никогда не будет! Я прославлю тех, кто прославляет Меня, но плохо будет тому, кто отказывается Меня почитать.

31 Наступит время, когда Я уничтожу всех твоих потомков, и никто в твоей семье не доживёт до старости.

32 Израиль будет процветать, но ты будешь видеть бедствия дома своего. Никто в твоей семье не доживёт до старости.

33 Лишь одного человека Я оставлю служить священником у Моего алтаря, и только он доживёт до глубокой старости. Он будет жить, пока его глаза не ослепнут и пока силы не оставят его. Все твои потомки умрут от меча.

34 Я дам тебе знамение, которое покажет, что всё это совершится. Оба твои сына, Офни и Финеес, умрут в один и тот же день.

35 Я выберу себе верного священника, который будет слушать Меня и поступать так, как Я захочу. Я сделаю его род сильным, и он вечно будет служить перед Моим помазанником.

29 Так почему же вы не чтите эти жертвы и приношения? Ты предпочитаешь Мне своих сыновей и жиреешь от лучших частей мяса, которое народ Израиля приносит Мне”».

30 Why3651 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 said,5002 I said559 indeed that your house,1004 and the house1004 of your father,1 should walk1980 before6440 me for ever:5769 but now6258 the LORD3068 said,5002 Be it far2486 from me; for them that honor3513 me I will honor,3513 and they that despise959 me shall be lightly7043 esteemed.7043

30 Затем человек Божий сказал: «Господь, Бог Израиля, обещал, что семья твоего отца будет вечно служить Ему. Но сейчас Господь говорит: „Этого никогда не будет! Я прославлю тех, кто прославляет Меня, но плохо будет тому, кто отказывается Меня почитать.

31 Behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 that I will cut1438 off your arm,2220 and the arm2220 of your father's1 house,1004 that there shall not be an old2205 man in your house.1004

31 Наступит время, когда Я уничтожу всех твоих потомков, и никто в твоей семье не доживёт до старости.

32 And you shall see5027 an enemy6862 in my habitation,4583 in all3605 the wealth which834 God shall give3190 Israel:3478 and there shall not be an old2205 man in your house1004 for ever.3605 3117

32 Израиль будет процветать, но ты будешь видеть бедствия дома своего. Никто в твоей семье не доживёт до старости.

33 And the man376 of yours, whom I shall not cut3772 off from my altar,4196 shall be to consume3615 your eyes,5869 and to grieve109 your heart:5315 and all3605 the increase4768 of your house1004 shall die4191 in the flower582 of their age.582

33 Лишь одного человека Я оставлю служить священником у Моего алтаря, и только он доживёт до глубокой старости. Он будет жить, пока его глаза не ослепнут и пока силы не оставят его. Все твои потомки умрут от меча.

34 And this2088 shall be a sign226 to you, that shall come935 on your two8147 sons,1121 on413 Hophni2652 and Phinehas;6372 in one259 day3117 they shall die4191 both8147 of them.

34 Я дам тебе знамение, которое покажет, что всё это совершится. Оба твои сына, Офни и Финеес, умрут в один и тот же день.

35 Я выберу себе верного священника, который будет слушать Меня и поступать так, как Я захочу. Я сделаю его род сильным, и он вечно будет служить перед Моим помазанником.

36 And it shall come1961 to pass, that every3605 one that is left3498 in your house1004 shall come935 and crouch7812 to him for a piece95 of silver3701 and a morsel3603 of bread,3899 and shall say,559 Put5596 me, I pray4994 you, into413 one259 of the priests'3550 offices, that I may eat398 a piece6595 of bread.3899

36 Тогда каждый оставшийся из твоей семьи придёт к этому священнику и низко поклонится ему, и будет умолять его дать немного денег или кусок хлеба. Он скажет: „Позволь мне исполнять обязанности священника, чтобы только мне иметь пропитание”».
